- Made from palo santo wood and reinforced with metal fittings, this "Samuel" mate cup has a capacity of 180 ml. Solidly made, delights with its characteristic resinous aroma and its design guarantees a pleasant savouring of yerba mate.
“Samuel” is a yerba mate vessel with a capacity of approximately 180 ml, made of metal-wrapped palo santo wood (‘’sacred wood‘’). The plant is indigenous to South America and is famous for secreting a resin with an unusual, natural fragrance. The brew prepared in it will be characterised by a unique aroma. The robust construction of the vessel makes it resistant to mechanical damage and maintains the temperature of the brew well.
Please note: Shortly after purchase, you may notice that the metal frame of the palo santo is rather loose and does not adhere tightly to the wood. This is intentional – during regular use, the wood naturally increases in volume and adapts to the fitting. If the fitting had been too tight from the start, the expanding wood could have been damaged.
